Lunchtime Arrangements
There are two sittings at lunchtime in the hall, firstly KS1 and then KS2. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have lunch from 12:05 – 1:05pm. Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 have lunch slightly later at 12:15 – 1:15pm.
School Meals
Aspens provide the hot meals at St Joseph’s and charge £2.60 per day. There is a wide variety of choice within the menus including a packed lunch option. You can visit their website for more information by following the link below:

Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)
From September 2014 all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 in state-funded schools in England should be offered a free school meal (FSM). This includes academies, free schools, pupil referral units and alternative provision as well as maintained schools.
Free School Meals
If your child is eligible but you are not claiming free meals for them you are missing out on this funding. Your child could have a healthy and nutritious meal provided for them each day and you could significantly reduce your shopping bills each week by cutting out the need to provide a lunch box. If you receive one of the following support payments you are entitled to receive a free school meal for you child:
- Income Support (IS)
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance (IBJSA)
- Employment and Support Allowance – Income related (ESA-IR)
- Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- Child Tax Credit (CTC) providing you do not also receive Working Tax Credit (WTC) and have an annual income as assessed by the Inland Revenue of less than £16,190.
