Headteacher’s Message

Welcome to our school website, we hope you will find it informative as it is designed to give you an insight into the life of the school. Please contact us if you would like to discuss anything further, or arrange a tour of the school.

Our school is a special place where every child has the opportunity to grow and develop in God’s love. We challenge each child to achieve high standards through a broad and balanced creative curriculum. It is our aim that all children will be happy at St Joseph’s, that they are confident and have high levels of self-esteem, respect for their peers and adults in the school.

St Joseph’s is provided and owned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Clifton, and is maintained by Somerset County Council. We are a voluntary aided school which means that the Governing Board is responsible for maintaining the Catholic ethos of the school. It caters for boys and girls from ages 4 – 11 and the school has close links with St Joseph’s Church in Bridgwater. St Joseph’s is situated in lovely grounds with a swimming pool, playing field and Forest School. We have a large hall with a well-equipped stage which provides an excellent facility for productions.
