Term 1 – Stewardship
The Lord God took man and put him in the Garden of Eden to care for it and work it.(Gen 2:15)
Looking after the planet and respect everything on it to protect animals, plants and the future of the human race.
Pope Francis has written a letter (Laudato Si’) to everyone, asking us to reach out to our sisters and brothers in need, whoever they are, wherever they may come from. We are all challenged to think of ourselves as a single global family living in a common home, and neighbours to all.
As good Stewards we are all trying to our bit to look after our World. Year 3 have demonstrated what this may look like in this tableau as they littler pick.
Last year’s work around Stewardship saw us establish our Eco team. This group of Year 5 and 6 children produced a plan to improve the schools impact on the world by reducing our energy usage. We aim to complete there biggest challenge and change over our lighting to LED low energy during 2023/24.
Our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action.’ (1 John 3:18)
Term 2 – Respect
A positive way of treating or thinking about someone or something, valuing and learning from their views and differences
Do to others as you would have done to you (Luke 6:31)
Term 3 – Curiosity
Asking questions about our wonderful world and having a thirst for finding out more.
The important thing is to never stop questioning (Albert Einstein)
Year 1 demonstrate our value of Curiosity.
Term 4 – Forgiveness
The act of letting go and moving on.
Be kind to one another, tender hearted, Just as God through Christ has forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32)
Year 5 demonstrate our value of forgiveness.
Term 5 – Love
When you really care about someone or something. You try very hard to take care of them and keep safe.
Love one another as I have loved you (John 14:27)
