Taunton Museum
On Tuesday 26th September, Year 5 and 6 went to Taunton Museum to learn more about their topic on the Vikings. We had the chance to act out some of King Alfred’s story, dressing up as Anglo Saxons and Vikings. We then created our own clay, Viking runes, and built an Anglo-Saxon village, thinking about how we could protect it from Viking attack.
We also spent some time in the Museum completing a trail, finding out more about the Stone Age, the Romans, Anglo Saxons and The Monmouth Rebellion.
